Purchasing on our site How secure is it to purchase online at your site? We use industry standard SSL (secure socket layer) encryption to scramble your financial data when you make a purchase. The party (financial institution) receiving this data must have the proper de-encryption code to transform the data back into readable information. We also use one of the top 3 payment processors in the world which means the safety of their payment processing has been proven and is trusted. Do you sell my information to anyone? No. Your information remains private with us. However, we do business and offer some services and products through third-party vendors and you would need to read their privacy policy to understand how they may treat your information. For more details on how we treat your information please refer to our Privacy Policy. Transferring Domains and Hosting How do I transfer my domain name to you? We take care of that for you. Make sure you send us the form we need so we can get this taken care of immediately after you purchase hosting. It generally takes 24-48 hours for your domain name to resolve (show up on the net) after it's transferred to the uSight servers. How often do your servers go down for maintenance or problems? Our servers are up 99.95% of the time. I can recall one time in the past year that a server was down. The problem was corrected within minutes. If I already have a site hosted with someone else, how do I transfer it to you and what happens to my site? First you need to contact us so we can review your present site. Your site will have to be rebuilt using the uBuilder web-based design program, if you are wanting to make changes to the site yourself and don't have web programming experience. This will give you total control of your site to make changes any time at no charge. Depending on how your site is written and designed, the look of it may change slightly when we rebuild it. If you're not wanting to maintain your site yourself, we can probably transfer it without rebuilding it. Once we've discussed things and you are comfortable with transferring your hosting, we can get started rebuilding it (or you can do it yourself), or transferring it, without affecting the operation of your present site. Once it's finished and you're happy with the look of your site, we then set your domain name up to be transferred to uSight's servers. Remember, it takes about 24-48 hours usually for your domain to resolve to uSight's servers once we transfer it, which means your site will be offline during that time. Once your site is transferred, you can then access it to make any changes using the uBuilder program. This gives you control of your site and access to the uBuilder's many features. We also train you in how to use the program at no additional charge. Subscriptions and Downloads I signed up to receive your newsletter but I did not receive the FREE ebooks you promised. How do I get those? You should have received a confirmation email to the address you subscribed from. There is a link inside that email for you to click on to download your FREE ebook. If you did not receive it or have lost the email, please send us an email with your name and the email address you used to sign up and we'll re-send the information. The uBuilder Program I've heard of these template-based programs you can use to build your own site, like uBuilder, are not easy to use and make your site look cheap. How do I know my site will look professional? The uBuilder program is not a cheap template-based design program like others you may have used or heard of, therefore your results won't look cheap. It's an industrial-strength, commercial-grade design program that lets you create professional-looking sites easily without programming experience. Most people don't realize that almost all websites are built using some form of template. The Market-Worx.com website you are on was made using it to prove its design capabilities. Is it really possible for me to create a professional-looking site that sells products without having to know HTML, CGI, Perl, Javascript, and all that other web language? Yes it is possible! While you may want to increase your knowledge of these programming languages to enhance your site with special effects and features, it's not necessary to know them to make, design, and build a professional-looking and functioning informational or e-commerce site. General website questions How many pages can my website contain? Unlimited. You can have as many as you want. Is there any limit to the amount of traffic my site gets? I've heard of site owners having their site shut down due to too much traffic and getting a huge bill for exceeding their bandwidth. No! There is no limit to the amount of traffic your site can receive. Our hosting includes unlimited bandwidth. Is there a limit to the number of products I can sell on my website? No! You can sell as many different products as you wish. Is there an extra charge to store the images and descriptions of products sold on my site? No! You have unlimited storage included at no additional cost with your hosting. Merchant Accounts How do I get a Merchant Account? I heard they were almost impossible to get unless you are a big company doing lots of business. That was the case in the past but things have advanced forward quickly with the growth of the Internet and ecommerce. You can get approved for a Merchant Account in just a few days even if you don't have a website or products yet. All you have to do to start the process is fill out the form to get the ball rolling. We will contact you to get further information and then submit your application to the merchant bank for approval. We usually have an answer within 5 days or less. You must have a U.S. address and a U.S. bank account to qualify. If you haven't been convicted of Internet fraud, credit card fraud, or securities fraud you can usually get approved. What are the fees for the Merchant Account? In addition to the account activation fee listed at the bottom of our Merchant Account page, the merchant bank will charge certain fees for the use of their processing services. The merchant gateway fee is $19.95/mo. This is a secure gateway between your site and the merchant bank which processes your transactions. Your uBuilder site comes with SSL (Secure Socket Layer) industry encryption at no extra charge. This saves you the time, setup hassle, and expense of purchasing your own SSL certificate (which others charge hundreds of dollars for) allowing you to accept payments securely and safely on your site after you've been approved for an Internet merchant account. Statement fees are $10/mo. (if you don't do more than $20 in transactions). The annual account fee is $45. The merchant charges 2.42% on Internet transactions + .28 cents. Non-Internet transactions are charged 1.75% + .28 cents. Voice authorizations are charged .98 cents per transaction. The statement fee is $6 and the chargeback fee is $25. Once I sell an item, how long does it take for the merchant bank to transfer the money into my bank account? Usually 2-3 business days or less. What payment gateways are currently available for use with the uBuilder program? uSight Gateway, uGateway, iGateway, ePenzio, IONGate, AuthorizeNet, SecurePay, PayPal, eProcessing Network, PaySystems, LinkPoint Basic, 2CheckoutCom, and Innovative Gateway. How do I accept electronic checks? Once your merchant account is approved, you, or we, go into your merchant account setup and request it. You are then sent the forms to fill out requesting approval. Once it's approved, you can then accept electronic checks. There is no additional fee to accept e-checks other than processing fees charged by the provider. Those fees are currently $19.95/mo. (maintenance), 1.00% discount rate, $.50 transaction, $1.50 per return, and $15 on chargebacks. Email Accounts If I need more email accounts than 10, how much does it cost? The cost is $5 per month per additional email address. Accessing your site and site setup How long does it take to get access to my site set up if I purchase the Silver Web Design Package? Usually within 24 hours or less. How long does it take for my site to be set up when I purchase the Gold or Platinum Web Design Package? It depends because we can't start on your site until you provide us with the information we need to get started. Once your purchase is completed, we will send an email to you requesting the details of what we need. The sooner you get that information back to us, the sooner we can get your site built. We will start on your site and "activate" it when we receive a response from you on any of the information we've requested. Your package will remain active for 30 days, during which time we will work on your site. Seven days before your package expires, you will receive an email notification. If you do not want your package activated, please respond to the email and inform us of your decision. We will then put your package on inactive status and will not begin any work on your site for up to 60 days. If we do not receive a response to the email, your package will be placed on inactive status for up to 60 days, after which, if we have not received a response, a generic site meeting the package requirements will be set up and the package will be complete. Once we have everything we need from you, it's usually 3-5 days (but can be up to 10 depending on the content, and any additional programming, you want) before your site is ready. We will then contact you once we are finished so you can review and approve the site before it's published on the web. Refund Policy What is your refund policy on Silver Web Design Package?
